We offer a range of respite services from daytime sessions and holiday breaks to long-term housing for people with profound learning and physical disabilities. Parents, carers and siblings can take time to look after their own welfare, safe in the knowledge that their loved one is receiving high quality care.

40,000+
adults in Essex are autistic or have a learning disability, but many do not receive support to live the life they choose. We’re here to meet the growing unmet demand.
30%
of working age autistic people are in employment, vs 80% of neurotypical, non-disabled people. Our employment and training programmes help people build skills and confidence to secure paid work.
88%
of families and carers surveyed said their loved one was always or very often felt sad. 82% of people felt lonely due to rarely being able to leave their home. Hamelin’s befriending and mentoring service aims to reduce loneliness and increase resilience of participants.
Whilst the support within each of our services differs, our commitment to high quality, personalised care for people with learning and physical disabilities is unwavering.
We have ambitious plans to support 5,000 people over the next three years, but we can only do this with your help. Join us on our journey.
Our fundraisers and volunteers are the lifeblood of our community. If you can give some time, energy, or a donation, we’d love to hear from you.
