Volunteering
Could you spare some time to change someone’s life?
We’re honoured to have a strong team of volunteers who add immense value to our work; sharing their passions, skills and knowledge with people who are interested to learn and explore. The people we support have worked with volunteers to produce fantastic works of art, learnt how to cook their own meals, how to catch the local bus and how to fish for carp.
Many of the people we support want to access their local areas and have help to find friends. Volunteers have also enabled groups of friends to go out for lunch, go to the pub and join online and desktop gaming groups.
We can support you to have the best possible volunteering experience too, finding opportunities that fit with your lifestyle, location and availability and the role that you want to play. All volunteers will be given full training and support, and our Volunteer Manager will always be on hand to answer your questions.

Fundraising
Fundraisers make up a critical part of the Hamelin Community. Every year we aim to raise at least £300,000 so that we can continue to have a positive impact on the people we support and meet more of the vast unmet need that exists in Essex.
There are many different ways you can help; from taking on a physical activity such as a 5k run, holding a small event with friends and family or colleagues, or buying tickets to our digital fundraising events and lottery.
