Hours: Fridays, from 10am-2pm (half days to be considered)

By empowering and supporting these individuals, we strive to enable them to live the lives they choose.
Purpose of role:
To assist staff with supporting autistic adults and people with learning disabilities access the community. This could be walking to local activities, for example, Billericay High Street, Lake Meadows or using public transport to access activities in the Essex area, for example in Southend.
Volunteers will be working with Hamelin support workers and will not be supporting individuals on their own.
Skills required:
• Reliability
• Empathy and patience
• Practical and personal skills
• To understand the values of Hamelin
Other related activities may include:
Volunteers are expected to attend face to face induction training and online learning and any other training that is considered to be relevant to the role
Requirements
• Completed Volunteer Application Form (not required at this stage)
• Enhanced DBS (completed and paid for by Hamelin)
