Since starting to volunteer with Hamelin in December last year, Chris has made a huge impact within our Life Skills service in Billericay.
Chris supports people in a range of activities, including computing sessions, mental health walks and sports sessions. He throws himself into everything he does and always brings plenty of enthusiasm and encouragement.
His nomination reads: "Chris is a fantastic example of someone who not only gives up their time, but also gives their full attention, energy and enthusiasm to the people we support.
"He really gets involved in activities and encourages everyone to join in. Chris has built some lovely relationships and many of the people we support see him as a friend. They often tell staff how much they enjoy spending time with him and describe him as kind and caring.
"Chris has created a space where people feel comfortable being themselves and opening up. He has had a particularly positive impact on some of our young men and has made a real difference to their confidence and wellbeing."
