Liz has been volunteering for Hamelin for almost two years at our centre in Billericay. During the morning sessions, she helps our people who have volunteered to litter pick at a local park, ensuring that everyone stays safe and enjoys the experience. In the afternoon, Liz accompanies a group to a nearby indoor crazy golf course, where she assists the group by filling out scorecards and providing encouragement and praise. After the game, she sits with them, engaging in conversation while they enjoy refreshments.
Her nomination reads: “Liz is friendly, kind, and supportive. She takes a genuine interest in the people she supports and spends time chatting about their interests. Her positive and cheerful demeanor makes everyone enjoy her company. Liz makes a significant contribution to the group, and her support is greatly appreciated by the staff.
