Collection dates: 11 & 12 January 2027
Mop-up collections: 18 January 2027
Give your real Christmas tree one final job this January.
Instead of wrestling it into the car or waiting for your council collection, let Hamelin collect it from your doorstep in return for a donation. It's quick, convenient, environmentally friendly and every collection directly supports autistic adults and adults with learning disabilities across Essex.
Why book with Hamelin?
Every tree collected helps fund Hamelin's work supporting autistic adults and adults with learning disabilities to build confidence, independence and meaningful connections within their community.
The money raised helps keep our community services free and accessible, creating opportunities for people to develop life skills, gain employment experience, learn new hobbies, build friendships and live more independently.
Last year, our volunteer teams collected and recycled Christmas trees across Essex, raising vital funds for Hamelin and preventing an estimated 2.5 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions.
✔️ No trip to the recycling centre
✔️ Collection from your doorstep
✔️ Supports a local Essex charity
✔️ Helps protect the environment
✔️ Gives your tree a second life
More than just recycling
Your Christmas tree continues its journey long after it's collected.
Trees are either recycled locally or transformed into mulch and logs at Hamelin's Roots & Shoots horticultural training site, where people we support use them throughout the year for gardening, woodworking, wildlife habitats and practical learning.
By recycling your tree instead of sending it to landfill, you're helping reduce carbon emissions while supporting meaningful training opportunities.
