Volunteer Role Title: Volunteer Minibus Driver
Location: Gowlands, Sutton Bridge Farm, Sutton Road, Rochford, SS4 1XS
Hours: Flexible - no more than 1 day per week

Purpose of role
To drive the charity minibus to take autistic adults and people being supported with learning disabilities on local trips, driving in a responsible and competent manner, ensuring the safety of the passengers, other road users, members of the public and yourself at all times.
The minibus driver will drive the Hamelin minibus to activities in the community and help staff with people we support during the trip.
Attributes/skills needed
• Be 21 years or over
• Have held a driving licence for at least 2 years D1 licence preferred but not essential
• Reliable and trustworthy
• Empathy and patience
• Honesty, sense of responsibility and confidentiality
• Practical and personal skills
• Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation i.e., Health & Safety
• To understand the values of Hamelin
Other related activities may include:
Volunteers are expected to attend face to face induction training and online learning and any other training that is considered to be relevant to the role.

• Completed Volunteer Application Form (not required at this stage)
• Enhanced DBS (completed and paid for by Hamelin)
