Volunteer Role Title: Volunteer Community Access Support
Location: Gowlands, Sutton Bridge Farm, Sutton Road, Rochford, SS4 1XS
Hours: Flexible 2- 3 hours per week

Purpose of role
Gowlands is our 9-bedroom short stay centre for autistic adults and people with learning disabilities, which is set in 5 acres of grounds at Sutton Farm, Rochford. We offer a home from home for families who are looking for respite care, from an overnight stay to a 2-week break.
A volunteer is required to assist with supporting people we support at Gowlands to access the local community. This could include taking people out to go shopping or for lunch or to access our on-site hydrotherapy pool. This role is flexible depending on the volunteer’s availability, but evenings and/or weekends would be especially useful.

Volunteers are expected to attend face to face induction training and online learning and any other training that is considered to be relevant to the role
Requirements
• Completed Volunteer Application Form (not required at this stage)
• Enhanced DBS (completed and paid for by Hamelin)
